We were asked by Brent Council to create a two minute video to accompany their bid to be the mayor’s ‘borough of culture’ 2018. We decided to showcase Brent’s diversity and try to communicate its many strengths. The video is widely seen as a major driving force behind the bid being successful.

The Mayor’s London Borough of Culture is a new award from the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to celebrate the wealth of creativity across every corner of the city. In February 2018, Brent won the award for London Borough of Culture 2020, following Waltham Forest in 2019.

The winning boroughs receive over £1m funding for creative activities, which will really make a long lasting difference in their borough. They illustrate their commitment to delivering an amazing and ambitious programme of events in the year, and show the transformation this will bring for their borough through heritage and the arts.
